Identification of glycolysis-associated long non-coding RNA regulatory subtypes and construction of prognostic signatures by transcriptomics for bladder cancer

Chenyu Mao et al.

Summary: This study investigated the roles of glycolysis-associated long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in bladder cancer (BC) and identified four subtypes regulated by these lncRNAs. Three key glycolysis-associated lncRNAs were found to have profound effects on glycolysis and a signature was constructed to predict the risk levels in BC patients.

Identification of the three subtypes and the prognostic characteristics of stomach adenocarcinoma: analysis of the hypoxia-related long non-coding RNAs

Zehua Fan et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the subtypes and characteristics of stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD) by analyzing hypoxia pathway-related lncRNAs. The results identified three hypoxia lncRNA-related molecular subtypes characterized by different prognostic and immune conditions. The findings may provide a theoretical basis to improve the clinical diagnosis and treatment of STAD.

Root and shoot biology of Arabidopsis halleri dissected by WGCNA: an insight into the organ pivotal pathways and genes of an hyperaccumulator

Sayyeda Hira Hassan et al.

Summary: This study used weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) to predict organ-specific co-expression networks in the root and shoot of Arabidopsis halleri. The results revealed the most enriched pathway, photosynthesis and photosynthesis-antenna proteins, in both the root and shoot. Additionally, root-specific pathways such as glucosinolate biosynthesis, autophagy, and SNARE interactions in vesicular transport, as well as shoot-specific pathway circadian rhythm, were identified. Hub and bottleneck genes in each module were screened and their possible involvement in heavy metal stress was validated. The analysis of co-expression modules along with protein-protein interactions (PPIs) confirmed some genes as potential candidates for plant heavy metal stress and biomarkers. These findings provide new insights into the pivotal functions of A. halleri's hyperaccumulative trait, opening up new avenues for future research on this species.
