Anti-inflammatory activities of amber extract in lipopolysaccharide-induced RAW 264.7 macrophages

Yuan Tian et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that the anti-inflammatory effect of amber extract on RAW 264.7 cells may be mediated by inhibiting NF-κB p65 signaling pathway, providing a potential pharmacological alternative for inflammation-related diseases.

Bioactivity-Guided Extract Optimization of Osmanthus fragrans var. aurantiacus Leaves and Anti-Inflammatory Activities of Phillyrin

Hwa-Young Song et al.

Summary: This study aimed to identify the optimal extraction conditions for leaves of Osmanthus fragrans var. aurantiacus and compared the inhibitory effects of various extracts on NO production. The extracts showed antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, with Phillyrin (PH) identified as a major compound. OP OFLE reduced iNOS and COX-2 protein expression and downregulated proinflammatory cytokines, suggesting biological activities of the extracts and its major components.
