Development of a Nafion-MWCNTs and in-situ generated Au nanopopcorns dual-amplification electrochemical aptasensor for ultrasensitive detection of OTA

Yujiao Hou et al.

Summary: In this study, a label-free electrochemical aptasensor based on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) was developed for ultrasensitive detection of ochratoxin A (OTA) in foods. The aptasensor exhibited excellent sensitivity with a detection limit as low as 1 pg/mL and a wide linear range of 1 pg/mL-10 ng/mL for OTA. It was also successfully applied to detect OTA in spiked malt samples and actual malt samples collected from the local market.

A ratiometric electrochemiluminescent/electrochemical strategy based on novel designed BPYHBF nanorod and Fc-MOF with tungsten for ultrasensitive AFB1 detection

Xiaoyi Lv et al.

Summary: Fluorescent dyes are potential candidates for electrochemiluminescence reagents, but their application is limited due to self-absorption effects. A novel ECL emitter BPYHBF was developed for labeling competitors in immunosensors, along with a sensing substrate MWCNTs/Fc-MOF to improve sensor sensitivity and reliability. The ratiometric competitive immunosensor was successfully prepared for ultrasensitive detection of AFB1, with excellent sensitivity, accuracy, and reproducibility demonstrated in actual samples.
