Smoke-free spaces: a decade of progress, a need for more?

Sean Semple et al.

Summary: The adoption of smoke-free measures has been a central element of tobacco control activities over the past 30 years, with an increasing number of countries implementing such policies. While these measures have shown to be effective in protecting non-smokers, there is still limited control over exposure in private spaces. Compliance with legislation varies by country and more research is needed on the implications of bystanders' exposure to e-cigarette aerosol in smoke-free settings.
