Quantum Image Encryption Based on Quantum DNA Codec and Pixel-Level Scrambling

Jie Gao et al.

Summary: This study combines the quantum DNA codec with quantum Hilbert scrambling to enhance the security and robustness of quantum images. The quantum DNA codec is used to encode and decode the pixel color information of the quantum image, while quantum Hilbert scrambling is employed to scramble the image position data. Experimental simulation and result analysis show that the proposed technique significantly strengthens the anti-attack of quantum images.

The Graph Structure of the Generalized Discrete Arnold's Cat Map

Chengqing Li et al.

Summary: This article investigates the period distribution and cycle structure of the generalized Cat map in various binary arithmetic domains. The rules of how the cycles change with arithmetic precision are studied and proven. The regular and beautiful patterns of the Cat map are rigorously proved and experimentally verified using fixed-point arithmetic. The results provide a benchmark for studying the dynamics of Cat map variants in any domain and can be used to evaluate the randomness of PRBS generated by other maps.

Forecasting crude oil prices based on variational mode decomposition and random sparse Bayesian learning

Taiyong Li et al.

Summary: The paper introduces a novel approach VMD-RSBL that combines VMD and RSBL for forecasting crude oil prices. By decomposing the crude oil price series into components and predicting each component individually using predictors built on random samples and random lags, the final forecasted prices are obtained by aggregating the predictions of all components. Extensive experiments show that VMD-RSBL outperforms many state-of-the-art schemes in terms of several evaluation indicators.

Chaotic Features of a Class of Discrete Maps without Fixed Points

Claudio Garcia-Grimaldo et al.

Summary: Chaotic dynamical systems without fixed points have potential in generating pseudo-random sequences, as orbits do not converge to fixed points. Introducing novel discrete maps described by piecewise linear (PWL) maps, necessary and sufficient conditions are provided to ensure these maps do not have fixed points. Additionally, families of these PWL discrete maps without fixed points, exhibiting positive Lyapunov exponents and chaotic dynamics with amplitude control, are discussed. Among these, a specific map is selected and theoretically proven to be chaotic according to Devaney's definition.
