A Robust Cooperative Distributed Secondary Control Strategy for DC Microgrids With Fewer Communication Requirements

Mahdieh S. Sadabadi et al.

Summary: This article proposes a robust cooperative distributed secondary control strategy for dc microgrids, with a focus on reducing communication burdens. The strategy adopts a sparsity-promoting consensus-based framework and does not require exchanging full voltage signals between neighboring units. Rigorous stability certificates are derived, which can be verified without knowledge of the connecting lines. Experimental results and simulation studies verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Distributed event-triggered voltage restoration and optimal power sharing control for an islanded DC microgrid

Fanghong Guo et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a distributed voltage restoration and power allocation control scheme for the DC microgrid system, which utilizes discrete and aperiodic event-triggered communication. The approach breaks the hierarchy of secondary control and tertiary optimization and solves the power regulation and voltage restoration problems simultaneously in the secondary layer. The proposed method allows for significant communication cost savings compared to existing methods.

Distributed event-triggered secondary control for microgrids applicable to directed communication graph

Xiaoliang Zhang et al.

Summary: Distributed cooperative control has been widely used in the secondary control of microgrids due to its reliability and flexibility. However, traditional schemes based on fixed-cycle communication waste communication resources. Therefore, this paper proposes an event-triggered distributed control strategy that significantly reduces communication requirements. The proposed algorithm can achieve the secondary control goal in a directed graph, making it applicable to scenarios with weaker communication conditions. The stability of the strategy is investigated using the Lyapunov method. Simulation results confirm the validity and effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
