This article comprehensively summarizes the latest advancements in Z-scheme photocatalytic systems for the removal of pharmaceuticals in water, explores the principle and validation techniques of the Z-scheme, and discusses the application of Z-scheme photocatalysts in the degradation of antibiotics, NSAIDs, and bacterial/viral inactivation. The conclusions and perspectives presented in this article will facilitate the commercialization of Z-scheme photocatalytic systems.

Covalent Organic Framework-Incorporated Nanofibrous Membrane as an Intelligent Platform for Wound Dressing

Summary: Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have emerged as promising drug carriers in biomedical applications, but their potential in wound healing has not been extensively studied. In this study, a curcumin-loaded COF was prepared and incorporated into polycaprolactone nanofibrous membranes to develop a pH-triggered drug release platform for wound dressing. The CUR@COF-based membranes exhibited excellent properties and promoted wound healing and skin regeneration by reducing inflammation and enhancing angiogenesis.
