Hydrogen bonds formed between Fe3O4 and TC play a key role in the adsorption mechanism.

Surface Complexation Enhanced Adsorption of Tetracycline by ALK-MXene

Summary: The removal of tetracycline antibiotics from wastewater is an important environmental issue, and this study focused on the use of ALK-MXene with a hydroxyl-rich surface to effectively remove tetracycline. The presence of metal ions was found to enhance the adsorption capacity of tetracycline, with Ni(II) leading to a 750% increase in removal capacity. The adsorption mechanism followed the Freundlich model, and surface modification of metal ions played a key role in enhancing surface complexation.

Summary: In this study, nano-Fe(3)O(4) was anchored on microbial cellulose and modified by a high-temperature furnace to prepare MMC@nano-Fe3O4 nanocomposite. The MMC@nano-Fe(3)O(4) catalyst exhibited efficient adsorption of TC and effective removal of TC using PS. The catalyst also demonstrated good reusability.

Removal of pollutants via synergy of adsorption and photocatalysis over MXene-based nanocomposites

Summary: In this work, MXene-based nanocomposites comprised of multi-layered Ti3C2-MXene nanosheets and transition metal oxide (TMO) nanomaterials, including zinc oxide (ZnO), bismuth molybdate (Bi2MoO6), and tin dioxide (SnO2), were prepared. The composites exhibited improved lipophilicity and enhanced adsorption capacity for pollutants. Under visible-light irradiation, the composites showed effective removal of high concentration methylene blue (MB) and 4-chlorophenol (4-CP). Hydroxyl radicals and superoxide free radicals were identified as the reactive species in the degradation process.

Flexible and lightweight Ti3C2Tx MXene/Fe3O4@PANI composite films for high-performance electromagnetic interference shielding

An efficient approach for separation of acephate from aqueous solution using a novel surface modified adsorbent and its electrochemical regeneration
