Equilibrium analysis and incentive-based control of the anticoordinating networked game dynamics

Yuying Zhu et al.

Summary: In this paper, the authors study the asynchronous best-response dynamics in networks of anticoordinating agents, investigating the influence of the threshold on convergence time and network equilibrium. Results show that the upper bound of strategy switches is determined by the number of network edges, nodes, and the network threshold. By introducing relevant payoff incentives, the maximal anticoordinating equilibrium with neighboring agents in different strategies can be achieved.

Asynchronous best-response dynamics of networked anti-coordination game with payoff incentives

Yuying Zhu et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the understanding and modeling of spatial collective decision-making behaviors in the evolutionary game context. By developing two types of payoff incentive mechanisms, namely reward and punishment, the study explores the asynchronous best-response dynamics of anti-coordinating agents. The results suggest that both reward and punishment can induce strategy switches, causing a cascading effect in the evolutionary dynamics of the spatial gaming systems. Additionally, the paper calculates the optimal solutions for added incentives under different budget cases, facilitating predictions on how the system dynamics are influenced by the proposed incentive mechanisms.

Percolation behaviors of a network of networks under intentional attack with limited information

Gaogao Dong et al.

Summary: A network of networks is an important class of real coupled networks that portrays the interdependence and coexistence between complex systems. This study investigates the percolation behavior of large-scale network systems, a network of networks with different dependency patterns, under intentional attack with limited information. The results show the effects of coupling strength and the number of known nodes on percolation, critical threshold, and critical coupling strength, as well as a new scaling relationship between 1/p(c) and 1/n for different network configurations.

Fixation probabilities in evolutionary dynamics under weak selection

Alex McAvoy et al.

Summary: The success of a mutant trait in evolutionary dynamics is measured by its fixation probability, which is influenced by various factors. Weak selection was considered in this study to compute the fixation probability of a mutant. The method can be applied to a wide range of stochastic evolutionary models, simplifying the complexity of selection problems.

Optimal resilience of modular interacting networks

Gaogao Dong et al.

Summary: The research indicates that in modular networks, an optimal fraction of interconnected nodes exists where the system becomes optimally resilient and is able to withstand more damage. Although the exact location of the optimal fraction varies based on the coupling patterns, there exists such an optimal point for all coupling patterns.
