Thermal stability, microstructure and texture evolution of thermomechanical processed AlCoCrFeNi2.1 eutectic high entropy alloy

M. H. Asoushe et al.

Summary: The microstructural and textural evolutions of as-cast high entropy alloy were investigated during thermomechanical processing at temperatures ranging from 25 to 500 degrees Celsius. The alloy exhibited significant strength-ductility ratio at room temperature and maintained mechanical stability at elevated temperatures. The volume fractions of constituent phases and the texture of the alloy were found to be consistent across different deformation temperatures.

Ultrahigh hardness in nanostructured dual-phase high-entropy alloy AlCrFeCoNiNb developed by high-pressure torsion

Payam Edalati et al.

Summary: This study combines multiple strategies to achieve ultrahigh hardness in metallic alloys, including solution hardening, grain refinement, and introducing dual phases. The resulting high hardness is attributed to the formation of nanograins and the generation of dislocations, interfaces, and spinodal-like elemental decomposition.

Infrared radiation and thermal properties of Al-doped SrZrO3 perovskites for potential infrared stealth coating materials in the high-temperature environment

Enbo Li et al.

Summary: The study investigated the infrared radiation performance and thermophysical properties of Al-doped SrZrO3 perovskite powder at high temperatures. By controlling the doping content, phase composition, and particle morphology, perovskite powder with low infrared emissivity and perovskite ceramic with ideal heat insulation performance were successfully prepared. The Al-doped SrZrO3 perovskite tablet exhibited weak radiation intensity at high temperatures due to its characteristics of low infrared emissivity and thermal conductivity.

Effect of Iron content on the microstructure evolution, mechanical properties and wear resistance of FeXCoCrNi high-entropy alloy system produced via MA-SPS

Parisa Moazzen et al.

Summary: In this study, the FexCoCrNi high entropy alloy system was prepared using mechanical alloying and spark plasma sintering, and the effect of iron content on microstructure, mechanical properties, thermal behavior, and wear resistance was investigated. Results showed that increasing iron content led to higher ultimate tensile strength and hardness, as well as improved wear resistance.
