Redox responsive poly(allylamine)/eudragit S-100 nanoparticles for dual drug delivery in colorectal cancer

Aastha Gupta et al.

Summary: In this study, redox responsive poly(allylamine) (PA)/eudragit S-100 (EU) nano-particles (PAEU NPs) targeting colon cancer were developed. These NPs were able to encapsulate both hydrophilic doxorubicin and hydrophobic curcumin with high efficiency. The PAEU NPs exhibited good stability under physiological conditions and released the drugs in a reducing environment, leading to enhanced anticancer efficacy. In vivo studies showed that the NPs remained in the colon region for up to 24 hours, indicating their potential for colorectal cancer therapy.
