Summary: Emerging evidence suggests that COVID-19 could cause long-term cognitive impairment by damaging the central nervous system. Self-reports and cognitive ability measures indicate that long COVID may lead to substantial detriments in cognition. To investigate further, we analyzed data from cognitive psychology courses, comparing the cognitive performance of COVID-19 infected and uninfected university students across 24 experiments. Using Bayes Factor analyses, we found that COVID-19 infection had minimal impact on cognition for university students.

Summary: COVID-19 has greatly impacted the civil aviation transportation sector in China. The study shows that the virus spread from Wuhan to surrounding cities with positive spatial autocorrelation. Cities that experienced ongoing transmission and frequent recurrence saw a significant decrease in civil aviation passenger throughput. However, due to effective pandemic control measures, the domestic passenger transport industry recovered quickly while international air passenger services continued to suffer. Major cities with high social and economic development experienced a large decline in passenger transport, but they are now taking on most of the passenger transport services again. The impact of COVID-19 on tourism has significantly affected the civil aviation industry, and its recovery depends on the recovery of the tourism industry, led by regions with high social and economic development.
