Identification, characterization, and function of GRP94 and HSP90? in cold stress response in cold water fish Phoxinus lagowskii

Tianxu Zhang et al.

Summary: This study focused on the cloning and expression of GRP94 and HSP90 beta genes in Phoxinus lagowskii during cold stress. Both genes were found to be highly expressed in various tissues, and their expression levels showed different patterns in response to acute and long-term cold stress. GRP94 showed significantly high expression in the brain during long-term cold stress, suggesting a protective role in brain tissue.

The involvement of oxidative stress mediated endoplasmic reticulum pathway in apoptosis of Golden Pompano (Trachinotus blochii) liver under PS-MPs stress

Fu Cheng Yao et al.

Summary: Microplastics pollution is prevalent in coastal areas, posing a potential threat to marine organisms. In this study, the impact of polystyrene microplastics (PS-MPs) on Golden Pompano was investigated. The results showed that exposure to high concentrations of PS-MPs led to impaired growth, histopathological changes in the liver, oxidative stress, endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS), apoptosis, metabolic alterations, and immune disturbance in the fish. These findings highlight the role of ERS in microplastics toxicology and reveal the adverse effects of microplastics on Golden Pompano.

Summary: This study conducted an acute temperature stress experiment on Gymnocypris chilianensis in the Qilian Mountains, China, and identified key metabolic pathways involved in maintaining physiological balance under thermal stress, such as glucose metabolism, lipid metabolism, and amino acid metabolism. The research provides valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying responses to heat stress in G. chilianensis, and may serve as reference data for studying environmental mutations in indigenous fish in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and Qilian Mountains.

Summary: In this study, seven PPAR genes were identified in the genome of G. przewalskii. The presence of duplicated copies of PPAR alpha b and PPAR gamma suggests whole genome duplication. The study also found that PPARs were continuously expressed during the embryonic development of G. przewalskii and were involved in the cold response.

Genome-wide characterization of the Elovl gene family in Gymnocypris przewalskii and their potential roles in adaptation to cold temperature

Sijia Liu et al.

Summary: The diversity of the Elovls gene family in fish plays critical roles in fatty acid synthesis and low-temperature stress adaptation. In this study, the Elovl genes in Gymnocypris przewalskii were identified and their expression profiles under cold stress were analyzed. The results revealed that different Elovl subtypes showed tissue-specific expression and some subtypes were highly expressed induced by cold stress. The fatty acid compositions in the hepatopancreas and skeletal muscle also changed significantly during cold adaptation.

Summary: CD39, expressed by tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes, is a marker for identifying tumor-reactive T cells with strong antitumor activity. Constructed HBVs-CAR-T cells and personalized tumor-reactive CD8(+) T cells show increased apoptosis in HCC organoids, with CD39(+) cells demonstrating enhanced antitumor effect despite increased exhaustion status.Triple knockdown of PD-1, Tim-3, and Lag-3 further enhances antitumor activity in CD39(+) CAR-T cells, indicating CD39 as a potential biomarker for immune cell enrichment and prognosis evaluation in HCC immunotherapy.
