Cucurbitacin I inhibits the proliferation of pancreatic cancer through the JAK2/STAT3 signalling pathway in vivo and in vitro

Dongchao Xu et al.

Summary: This study selected cucurbitacin I as a potential therapeutic drug for treating pancreatic cancer. It was found that cucurbitacin I inhibited the proliferation of pancreatic cancer cells and induced cell apoptosis. Additionally, it reduced cell invasion ability and impaired the growth of pancreatic tumors. The decrease in pancreatic cancer cell proliferation caused by cucurbitacin I appeared to involve JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway inhibition.

Maha Hanafi et al.

Summary: XD2-149, a PROTAC based on napabucasin, has a multi-targeted mechanism of action, inhibiting the STAT3 signaling pathway and degrading the ZFP91 protein. ZFP91 plays a critical role in tumorigenesis and is involved in oncogenic pathways such as NF-κB and HIF-1α.
