Tumor necrosis factor-α inhibitor-related autoimmune disorders

Ludovico De Stefano et al.

Summary: Biotechnological monoclonal antibodies and receptor antagonists have emerged as an alternative therapy for treating systemic inflammatory diseases. However, immunotherapies may lead to the development of immune-mediated disorders. Understanding the phenomenon of the 'compensatory immunological switch' can help manage these disorders and interpret the heterogeneity of certain chronic inflammatory conditions.

Hyperoside Attenuates Zearalenone-induced spleen injury by suppressing oxidative stress and inhibiting apoptosis in mice

Weifeng Zhu et al.

Summary: The study found that hyperoside inhibited spleen injury caused by zearalenone through its antioxidant and anti-apoptotic effects. This provides a new treatment option for immune system diseases caused by zearalenone.

Hydroxy Selenomethionine Alleviates Hepatic Lipid Metabolism Disorder of Pigs Induced by Dietary Oxidative Stress via Relieving the Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress

Jinzhong Jing et al.

Summary: This study found that dietary oxidative stress can lead to hepatic lipid metabolism disorder, but dietary supplementation with hydroxy selenomethionine partially alleviates this negative impact. The supplementation restores antioxidant capacity, mitigates endoplasmic reticulum stress, and regulates selenotranscriptome to resist hepatic lipid metabolism disorders.

The correlation of TNF alpha levels with acute phase proteins in acute Toxoplasma gondii infection in mice

Nurgul Atmaca et al.

Summary: This study investigated the relationship between TNF alpha levels and acute phase proteins in the serum of mice with Toxoplasma gondii infection. The results showed a strong positive correlation between TNF alpha levels and CRP, SAA, and clusterin, as well as a strong negative correlation with albumin. The increase in CRP, SAA, and clusterin levels, along with the increase in TNF alpha levels, suggests that these proteins can be considered as major acute phase proteins in acute T. gondii infection in mice. These findings may be useful for diagnosing and monitoring treatments for T. gondii infection.
