Automatic generation of fine-grained traffic load spectrum via fusion of weigh-in-motion and vehicle spatial-temporal information

Gan Yang et al.

Summary: A fusion method is proposed in this paper to generate fine-grained traffic load spectra using multiple sources of information, improving the accuracy of identifying driving vehicle locations. The method is tested on an actual bridge and demonstrates the high accuracy of automatically generated fine-grained traffic load spectra.

Model Latent Views With Multi-Center Metric Learning for Vehicle Re-Identification

Yi Jin et al.

Summary: In this paper, a multi-center metric learning framework is proposed for addressing the issue of feature representation in multi-view vehicle Re-ID, solving the subproblems of cross-view matching and cross-vehicle matching by modeling latent view clusters and introducing different loss functions. Extensive experimental evaluations demonstrate the superiority of the proposed framework compared to existing state-of-the-arts on three widely used benchmarks.

Multi-View Vehicle Detection Based on Fusion Part Model With Active Learning

Dong Lin Li et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a novel multi-view vehicle detection system that addresses the issues of partial occlusion and high variance between different types of vehicles. The system uses part models that can be replaced at any time, proposes new part models based on appearance analysis of modern vehicles, and incorporates color transformation and Bayesian rule to improve detection time and accuracy. The proposed method outperforms other techniques on the given dataset.

An accurate approach for obtaining spatiotemporal information of vehicle loads on bridges based on 3D bounding box reconstruction with computer vision

Jinsong Zhu et al.

Summary: This paper proposes an accurate approach for obtaining spatiotemporal information of vehicle loads on bridges based on 3D bounding box reconstruction using computer vision. A deep convolutional neural network and the You Only Look Once detector are used to detect vehicles and establish the relationship between 2D and 3D bounding box of the vehicle. Through multiple objects tracking, the spatiotemporal information of the vehicle loads is obtained, showing accuracy and reliability in a bridge vehicle loads identification system on a cable-stayed bridge in operation.
