A comparison of endodontic registrar training experience with treatments provided by private practice endodontists

Summary: This study compared referral patterns and treatment provided by specialist Endodontists and Endodontic Registrars. Retrospective review of clinical records was conducted for the first 25 patients seen by seven private endodontic clinicians and an equivalent number of patients seen by five public sector endodontic clinicians. The results showed similar referral patterns and indicated that specialists are adequately trained for private practice.
