Pre-specified time synchronization of impulsive complex networks via distributed event-triggered transmission strategies

Xudong Hai et al.

Summary: This paper studies a class of complex networks with impulsive perturbations and considers the problem of pre-specified time synchronization and quasi-synchronization of the networks. Sufficient criteria are derived based on linear matrix inequality technique and Lyapunov methods, ensuring pre-specified time synchronization and quasi-synchronization of the controlled systems under the designed event-triggered transmission strategies. The correctness of the main results is verified through numerical examples.

Observer for a class of Lipschitz nonlinear systems with multiple time-varying delays in the nonlinear measured outputs

B. Targui et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a novel chain observer for Lipschitz nonlinear systems with multiple time-varying long delays, expanding the application to a wider class of systems. The observer design utilizes a chain of state observers with a consistent structure and includes proportional-integral dynamical terms to compensate for the time-delay effect. The observer gains are obtained from less restrictive LMI synthesis conditions, ensuring convergence to zero observation error as demonstrated by a Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional analysis.

Global finite-time stabilization of a class of perturbed planar systems with actuator saturation and disturbances

Yuxin Su et al.

Summary: This paper addresses the global finite-time stabilization problem for a class of planar nonlinear systems subject to actuator saturation and bounded disturbances. The proposed singularity-free integral sliding mode surface and simple saturated robust control ensure global finite-time stability and avoidance of actuator saturation, with advantages of faster transient and higher steady-state stabilization. Simulations demonstrate the improved performance of the proposed approach.

Graph-Theoretic Method on Topology Identification of Stochastic Multi-weighted Complex Networks with Time-Varying Delayed Coupling Based on Adaptive Synchronization

Huiling Chen et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on topology identification of stochastic multi-weighted complex networks using adaptive synchronization, taking into account time-varying delayed coupling. The study successfully identifies whole and partial topological structures under adaptive control and adaptive pinning control, with numerical examples demonstrating the effectiveness of the theoretical results. The drive-response concept is used to achieve synchronization between response and drive networks, with a typical Lu chaotic system employed to describe the vertex's dynamic behavior.

Summary: This paper identifies the topological structures of multi-weighted complex networks with and without time delay using adaptive synchronization. It utilizes the concept of drive-response synchronization, graph theory, Lyapunov stability theory, and adaptive control technique to achieve synchronization and identify uncertain topological structures. The results show that synchronization helps to identify multiple topological structures and successfully identifies structures with time delay.

Analysis of a general multi-group reaction-diffusion epidemic model with nonlinear incidence and temporary acquired immunity

Yantao Luo et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a general multi-group reaction-diffusion epidemic model with nonlinear incidence and temporary acquired immunity. The threshold dynamics of the disease are obtained in terms of R-0, showing that the endemic steady state is globally asymptotically stable under certain conditions. Theoretical analysis suggests that the existence of immunity loss rate and differences in diffusion rate may pose great difficulties in controlling the disease.
