Effect of multi-wall carbon nanotubes/strontium ferrite nanoparticles on the microstructure, phase, magnetic and electromagnetic behavior of carbon aerogel composites

Mehdi Mazaheri Forushani et al.

Summary: This study investigated the electromagnetic behavior of a carbon aerogel composite with multi-wall carbon nanotubes and strontium ferrite nanoparticles in the X-band range (8.12-2.4 GHz). Structural and magnetic characterization of the samples was conducted using various techniques, including X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy, vector network analyzer, and vibrational magnetometer. The results showed that the addition of 10 wt% carbon nanotubes significantly increased the saturation magnetization of the carbon aerogel substrate. The sample with 10 wt% carbon nanotubes and 5 wt% strontium ferrite exhibited the highest shielding efficiency in the X-band range.

Lightweight cellulose/MWCNT/SrFe12O19 aerogel composites: microstructure, density, mechanical properties, and electromagnetic behavior

Mehdi Mazaheri Forushani et al.

Summary: This study investigates the electromagnetic and mechanical action of Lightweight and pliable cellulose-multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)- strontium ferrite (SrFe12O19) aerogel composite in the X-band range. The results reveal that in the sample containing 10 wt.% MWCNTs and 5 wt.% SrFe12O19 nanoparticles, the shielding value of microwaves within the X- band range reaches more than 40 dB. Additionally, the effective absorption threshold is found at thicknesses larger than 1.5 cm in this sample, and the best absorption bandwidth (8.2-12.4 GHz) is observed in the thickness of 3 cm.

Role of compositional changes on thermal, magnetic, and mechanical properties of Fe-P-C-based amorphous alloys

Indah Raya et al.

Summary: This work investigated the role of microalloying process on the properties of Fe-P-C-based amorphous system. The simultaneous microalloying of Ni and Co was found to enhance the glass forming ability, while FeCoNiCuPC amorphous alloy exhibited the best anelastic/viscoplastic behavior. However, the addition of Cu to improve plasticity led to decreased magnetic properties.

Observation of Griffiths phase, critical exponent analysis and high magnetocaloric effect near room temperature at low magnetic field in V-doped La0.7Sr0.3MnO3

Jagadish G. Kumar et al.

Summary: In this study, the observation of the Griffiths phase and the high magnetocaloric properties at low magnetic fields in La0.7Sr0.3V(x)Mn1-xO3 perovskite materials were reported. V doping led to a decrease in Curie temperature and an enhancement in magnetic entropy change. The formation of magnetic disorder was also observed due to V doping.

Enhanced magnetocaloric properties of La0.8K0.2-xPbxMnO3 nanoparticles by optimizing Pb doping concentrations

Sara Ait Bouzid et al.

Summary: Poly-crystalline La(0.8)K(0.2-x)Pb(x)MnO3 (x = 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20) ceramics were successfully prepared by flash combustion route and their structural, morphological, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties were investigated. Results showed that Pb doping changes the grain size and lattice parameters without modifying the crystal structure. La0.8K0.1Pb0.1MnO3 exhibited significant magnetocaloric properties near room temperature.

The effects of strontium ferrite micro-and nanoparticles on the microstructure, phase, magnetic properties, and electromagnetic waves absorption of graphene oxide-SrFe12O19-SiC aerogel nanocomposite

Gholam Reza Gordani et al.

Summary: This study investigated an ultralight electromagnetic wave absorbent based on graphene oxide nanocomposite, utilizing strontium ferrite and nano silicon carbide. The research found that aerogel with nano-sized particles demonstrated better electromagnetic absorbing performance compared to those with micro-sized particles.
