Non-line-of-sight WDM-MIMO optical camera communications with the DBPWR algorithm

Non-line-of-sight optical camera communication aided by a pilot

Summary: Optical camera communication (OCC) is valued for its advantages over radio frequency (RF) as an emerging network access mode for the fifth-generation (5G). A pilot-aided demodulation scheme is proposed to extend the communication distance while ensuring data rate and reliability. The effectiveness of the scheme is validated in experiments against a heterogeneous background with ghost shadows at 2.5 m distance.
