Experimental investigation of exergetic efficiency of 3 side concave dimple roughened absorbers

Vikash Kumar

Summary: This study evaluated the exergetic efficiency of a solar air heater duct system with 3 side concave dimple roughness and compared the results with a 1 side roughened system. The experiments under different parameters showed the influence of Reynolds number and temperature parameter on exergetic efficiency.

Summary: A new hybrid WSF model is developed in this paper, combining LSTM and decomposition methods, optimized with GWO. The experimental results show that the proposed hybrid model can capture the non-linear characteristics of WSTS, achieving better forecasting accuracy than single forecasting models.

Heat transfer from a dimple-imprint downstream of boundary-layer trip-wire

Seok Min Choi et al.

Summary: In this study, the naphthalene sublimation method was used to measure local heat transfer coefficient variations of a single dimple imprint channel, and the installation of a boundary layer trip-wire was found to significantly enhance heat transfer under different flow conditions. The diameter of the trip-wire was shown to impact the heat transfer augmentation, with an increase of up to 38% for the Reynolds number range from 3000 to 5000, making it a recommended design feature for dimple-cooling passages in gas turbine blades and vanes.
