Foams stabilized with silica nanoparticles derived from sodium silicate for gas well liquid unloading

Lizda J. Mawarani et al.

Summary: In this study, a liquid foam unloading agent was prepared using an anionic surfactant sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) stabilized with silica nanoparticles. The foamability and foam stabilizing ability of the agent were improved by the formation of a silica-SLS aggregates film on the gas-liquid interface. The best performance of the agent was achieved with a nanofluid containing 0.03% silica nanoparticles, which showed a foam stability of 72% at 80 degrees C and a liquid efficiency of 97.5% at 100 degrees C.

High Surface Area Silica Particles Using Anionic Surfactant Template Prepared by One-step Spray Drying System for Dye Removal Application

Hendrix Abdul Ajiz et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effect of sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) on the morphology and properties of silica. The results show that increasing the SLS concentration leads to changes in the particle size and an increase in total pore volume and surface area of silica particles. Additionally, the SLS concentration affects the physical properties of silica, such as surface area and pore structure.

Effects of Different Surfactant Charges on the Formation of Gold Nanoparticles by the LASiS Method

Muhammad Zulfajri et al.

Summary: The study synthesized gold nanoparticles using the LASiS method with the addition of different surfactant charges, and found that the surfactant charges play a role in the growth process and stability of the gold nanoparticles. SDS and CTAB surfactants showed higher stability compared to TX-100 surfactant for the gold nanoparticles.

Summary: A novel hydrate form of SDS was discovered through hydrate screening using organic solvents, produced by adding acetonitrile to a SDS aqueous solution. The new form was then successfully obtained through synthesis and isolation methods, and characterized through various solid-state techniques.
