Effect of pore geometry on ultra-densified hydrogen in microporous carbons

Mi Tian et al.

Summary: Our study reveals that pore geometry has a significant impact on densification of confined H-2, while pore size remains the critical factor determining hydrogen storage capacities. Understanding the effects of pore geometry and size is essential for developing porous adsorbents tailored for maximizing H-2 storage capacities for sustainable energy applications.

A Monte Carlo simulation study of hydrogen adsorption in slit-shaped pores

Sudarsan Karki et al.

Summary: This study investigated hydrogen adsorption isotherms in slit-shaped pores through molecular simulations, revealing trends and results of hydrogen adsorption. Although there were slight differences between classical simulation and quantum corrected simulation, the overall adsorption trends were well reproduced.

Accurate and Compatible Force Fields for Molecular Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Hydrogen to Simulate Gases, Electrolytes, and Heterogeneous Interfaces

Shiyi Wang et al.

Summary: New force field parameters for molecular oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen were introduced to reduce deviations in molecular simulations to <5%. Impressive agreement with experiments was achieved for computed properties such as bond lengths, Raman peaks, liquid densities, vaporization enthalpies, and free energies of hydration. The parametrization protocol demonstrated compatibility with various simulation methods and showed <5% deviation in adsorption energies for gases in experiments.
