Facile and Stable Fluorene Based Organic Hole Transporting Materials for Efficient Perovskite Solar Cells

Rajalapati Durga Gayathri et al.

Summary: This study designs two small molecule hole-transporting materials (HTMs) based on fluorine-dithiophene (FDT) to improve the long-term stability of perovskite solar cells. By introducing fluorene-terminated groups on FDT, the energy levels are fine-tuned and thermal stability is enhanced, leading to improved device performance. The hydrophobic nature of the F2DT compound favors the formation of uniform and dense perovskite films, further enhancing device stability.

High-Performance Inkjet-Printed Blue QLED Enabled by Crosslinked and Intertwined Hole Transport Layer

Liming Xie et al.

Summary: In this study, a novel crosslinkable polymer FLTA-V was designed and synthesized, and a blended film with TFB was employed as an effective hole transport layer (HTL) for QLED. The crosslinked HTL showed excellent solvent resistance and formed a robust network structure, leading to enhanced charge transportation efficiency. The increased surface energy of the blended HTL also improved the electrical contact and reduced the leakage current of the device. The fabricated blended HTL-based QLED exhibited a remarkable enhancement of external quantum efficiency (EQE).

n-Type host materials based on nitrile and triazine substituted tricyclic aromatic compounds for high-performance blue thermally activated delayed fluorescence devices

Seokhoon Jang et al.

Summary: Novel n-type host materials based on tricyclic aromatic compounds, dibenzo [b,d] furan and dibenzo[b,d]thiophene, were successfully synthesized and characterized for high-performance blue thermally activated delayed fluorescence organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs). The introduction of nitrile and diphenyltriazine functional groups at specific positions resulted in materials with excellent thermal stability, high triplet energy, and low-lying LUMO energy levels. These materials showed superior performance in terms of efficiency, driving voltage, and device lifetime compared to OLEDs with a single p-type host material.
