Flexible CdSe/ZnS Quantum-Dot Light-Emitting Diodes with Higher Efficiency than Rigid Devices

Mijin Kim et al.

Summary: The reliable manufacture of flexible transparent electrode is important for the fabrication of high-performance, flexible QLEDs. In this study, we deposited a transparent oxide/metal/oxide (OMO) electrode on a polymer planarization layer and achieved good electron supply and injection. The high-performance flexible QLEDs fabricated using these electrodes had significantly higher current efficiency than rigid QLEDs with ITO electrodes.

Effect of substrate temperature on the near-infrared shielding properties of WO3-x thin films deposited by RF magnetron sputtering

Anjana S. Nair et al.

Summary: This work investigates tungsten oxide thin films deposited by RF magnetron sputtering on glass substrates for potential near-infrared shielding applications. The films were characterized for their structural, morphological and compositional properties, with the lowest NIR transmittance observed for WO3-x films deposited at 500 degrees C. The study demonstrates the significance of using undoped WO3-x thin films for efficient near-infrared shielding.

Summary: Photocoloration refers to the change in color of a transparent material exposed to UV light, with the effect being enhanced by UV lasers. The color change is influenced by the structural and chemical properties of the material, leading to variations in optical properties. Molybdenum oxide shows a superior coloration response to UV radiation, with its absorption bands and valence states analyzed to understand the coloration mechanisms.

Semi-Transparent Organic Photovoltaic Cells with Dielectric/Metal/Dielectric Top Electrode: Influence of the Metal on Their Performances

Linda Cattin et al.

Summary: By using MoO3/Ag/MoO3 as the top anode, semi-transparent organic photovoltaic cells (OPVs) achieved high transparency and low sheet resistance in the visible light range, with an efficiency only 20% lower than opaque OPVs and close to 50% transparency. However, using MoO3/Ag/Cu:Ag/ZnS as the top anode resulted in lower efficiency due to Cu diffusion causing degradation of the anode/organic material contact.

Low-Temperature Oxide/Metal/Oxide Multilayer Films as Highly Transparent Conductive Electrodes for Optoelectronic Devices

Yunlong Zhang et al.

Summary: Transparent conductors are crucial for optoelectronic and flexible electronic devices, with oxide/metal/oxide (OMO) multilayer films showing promise as an alternative to traditional transparent conductive oxides (TCOs). However, deposition methods like magnetron sputtering or thermal evaporation can lead to device performance deterioration due to ion bombardment or high temperatures. New techniques, such as reactive plasma deposition (RPD) for high-quality MGZO films and ultrathin Ag films prepared by magnetron sputtering, are being explored to improve conductivity and transmittance in OMO structures.
