Improvement of the saturation magnetization of PEG coated superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles

Oznur Karaagac et al.

Summary: This study successfully synthesized polyethylene glycol coated iron oxide nanoparticles through coprecipitation and coating methods, and investigated the effect of coating amount on their structure and magnetic properties. The results showed that increasing the amount of polyethylene glycol coating significantly improved the saturation magnetization of the nanoparticles.
