Co3V2O8 hollow spheres with mesoporous walls as high-capacitance electrode for hybrid supercapacitor device

Summary: In this study, Co3V2O8 hollow spheres were synthesized as electrode materials and showed excellent performance in energy storage. A hybrid supercapacitor device using Co3V2O8, activated carbon, and KOH as positive, negative electrodes, and electrolyte achieved high energy and power densities. The aqueous supercapacitor device also exhibited good structural and electrochemical stabilities after multiple charge-discharge cycles. This work provides a platform for exploring bimetallic Co and V-based oxides, hydroxides, and sulfides nanostructures as promising energy storage materials in the future.

In Situ Construction of Binder-Free Stable Battery-Type Copper Cobaltite and Copper Oxide Composite Electrodes for All-Solid-State Asymmetric Supercapacitors: Cation Concentration and Morphology-Dependent Electrochemical Performance

Summary: Binder-free electrode materials with high active material loading and efficient electron and ion transport have been demonstrated through in situ synthesis of CuCo2O4/CuO composites. The CCO/NF-IPA composite, grown on Ni foam, shows higher specific capacity and extended cyclic performance compared to other morphologies. The all-solid-state CCO/NF-IPA//AC asymmetric supercapacitor device exhibits high specific capacity and cycle stability with notable energy density at high power density.

Boosting the Electrochemical Performance of Mn-doped CuCo2O4/CuO Heterostructures for All-Solid-State Asymmetric Battery-type Supercapacitors

Summary: The introduction of Mn ions to transition metal oxides is a potential strategy for tailoring their redox behavior in energy storage. In this study, Mn-doped copper cobaltite and copper oxide heterostructures were fabricated as electrodes, leading to increased specific capacity and the construction of an all-solid-state supercapacitor device with high specific energy and power. The device also demonstrated excellent long-term cyclic stability.
