Near infrared light triggered ternary synergistic cancer therapy via L-arginine-loaded nanovesicles with modification of PEGylated indocyanine green

Kesi Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, a nano-vesicular system IA-PEP was developed to efficiently deliver photosensitizer PEGylated indocyanine green and NO donor L-Arg, achieving a ternary synergistic treatment combining NO therapy, photodynamic therapy, and mild-temperature photothermal therapy under 808 nm laser irradiation. The potent anti-tumor efficacy of IA-PEP with complete tumor elimination was verified in vivo in nude mice bearing xenograft MCF-7 tumors.

An oxygen-sensitive probe and a hydrogel for optical imaging and photodynamic antimicrobial chemotherapy of chronic wounds

Shilu Ji et al.

Summary: A small molecular probe and a macromolecular optical probe were designed for hypoxia imaging and antibacterial chemotherapy. The small molecular probe is capable of emitting fluorescence in the red-wavelength region, while the macromolecular probe has a strong hydrophilicity for photodynamic therapy. The probes were also cross-linked with other substances to form a hydrogel that effectively inhibits bacterial growth and promotes wound healing.
