Xuyan Hou et al.

Summary: With the development of space crawling robotics technology, tactile perception has become essential for robots to sense the external environment. This paper proposes a space crawling robotic bio-paw (SCRBP) inspired by a cat paw, which can reduce the impulse force during contact with the target surface. The proposed touch-sensing system, embedded with self-powered sensors based on the triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) technology, can provide real-time multi-dimensional sensation information. Combined with machine learning, the sensory system can be used for surface identification. The SCRBP device has advantages in surface information acquisition, adaptability, power consumption, cost, signal reliability, and data minimization, showing great potential in space robotics.

Novel Bi2WO6/ZnSnO3 heterojunction for the ultrasonic-vibration-driven piezocatalytic degradation of RhB

Chunran Zhao et al.

Summary: This study designed and prepared a new piezoelectric catalytic nanomaterial, Bi2WO6/ZnSnO3, and applied it in piezocatalytic water purification. Results showed that the composite had superior piezocatalytic efficiency and stability in rhodamine B (RhB) degradation under ultrasonic vibration. The improved performance was attributed to the enhanced specific surface area, facilitated piezocatalytic reaction, and the formation of type-II heterojunction structures between Bi2WO6 and ZnSnO3, which improved the separation efficiency of charge carriers and greatly enhanced the piezoelectric catalytic activity.

PU/PVDF blend nanofiber film with enhanced mechanical and piezoelectric performance for development of stable nanogenerators

Zikui Bai et al.

Summary: In this study, Polyurethane (PU) is introduced into PVDF nanofibers to obtain a blend nanofiber film with elasticity and microstructure stability. The tensile and compression moduli of the nanofiber films are effectively controlled by changing the mass ratio of PU to PVDF. The blend nanofiber film shows stable piezoelectric response and has potential applications in mechanical energy harvesting from gas or liquid pressure fluctuation.

Preparation of Dual Z-scheme Bi2MoO6/ZnSnO3/ZnO Heterostructure Photocatalyst for Efficient Visible Light Degradation of Organic Pollutants

Yuanyingxue Gao et al.

Summary: In this study, a double Z-type Bi2MoO6/ZnSnO3/ZnO heterostructure photocatalyst was prepared to achieve effective charge separation and improve photocatalytic activity. The composite material showed significant improvements in light absorption properties and photocatalytic activity compared to individual components. Furthermore, the photocatalytic efficiency for the degradation of crystal violet and tetracycline hydrochloride was higher for the composite material, which also exhibited good stability. Experimental results suggested the existence of heterojunctions between ZnO, ZnSnO3, and Bi2MoO6, and proposed a possible photocatalytic mechanism.

In Situ Fabrication of Lead-Free Cs3Cu2I5 Nanostructures Embedded in Poly(Vinylidene Fluoride) Electrospun Fibers for Polarized Emission

Ting Jiang et al.

Summary: This study reports the in situ fabrication of lead-free halide Cs3Cu2I5 nanostructures embedded in poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) micro/nanofiber films using the electrospinning technique, achieving polarized luminescence generation. The Cs3Cu2I5/PVDF composite nanofibers exhibit a higher degree of PL polarization ratio (P) and long-term stability compared to composite microfibers. The polarized emission is attributed to the directional transition dipole moment (TDM) induced by the asymmetric crystal structure of aligned Cs3Cu2I5 nanorods and the dielectric confinement effect of the PVDF matrix.
