Robust Predictive Tracking Control for Mobile Robots With Intermittent Measurement and Quantization

Andong Liu et al.

Summary: This article investigates the problem of robust predictive tracking control for network mobile robots with intermittent measurement and quantization. By analyzing the tracking error model of trajectory tracking and designing a parameter-dependent predictive controller, the mean-square asymptotic stability of the system is analyzed. The terminal weighted matrix is designed using the linear matrix inequality technique for offline application, and the controller is designed using an iterative algorithm for online implementation, effectively verified by numerical and experimental examples.

Autonomous Target Docking of Nonholonomic Mobile Robots Using Relative Pose Measurements

Yuanzhe Wang et al.

Summary: This article investigates the target docking problem for nonholonomic mobile robots using relative position and orientation measurements of the target. It proposes an extended Kalman filter-based relative pose estimation algorithm and a practical solution where motion planning and tracking control of the robot are incorporated into a unified scheme to achieve perfect docking operation. Real robot experiments have been performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Lateral Control in Precision Docking Using RTK-GNSS/INS and LiDAR for Localization

Takayuki Ando et al.

Summary: This article describes the design of a lateral control method for precision docking using GNSS/INS and LiDAR for localization, aiming to verify the feasibility of achieving the lateral error requirement with onboard sensors. Numerical analysis and experimental results show that the lateral error standard deviation is slightly below the threshold, indicating that the vehicle and sensor model appropriately describes the vehicle's lateral motion.

MPC-Based Cooperative Control Strategy of Path Planning and Trajectory Tracking for Intelligent Vehicles

Zhiqiang Zuo et al.

Summary: In this paper, a progressive model predictive control scheme (PMPCS) is proposed for the cooperative control of local planning and path tracking for intelligent vehicles. An improved particle swarm optimization (IPSO) based model predictive control (MPC) method is developed to solve the planning and tracking problem. Additionally, a novel planning algorithm considering traffic lights and overtaking time constraint is introduced, combining model predictive control with artificial potential field (APF) and pseudo velocity planning methods. Simulation results demonstrate the reliability and advantages of the proposed algorithm compared to general hierarchical algorithms.

An Automatic Docking System for Wheeled Mobile Robots

Alexey M. Romanov et al.

Summary: This paper presents an algorithm for wheeled mobile robots with differential kinematics to improve the accuracy of docking to a charge station. The charging station is localized using ArUco markers, which is more robust compared to other sensor-based methods. Simulation results demonstrate a docking accuracy within 3cm.
