Estimating dose-response relationships for vitamin D with coronary heart disease, stroke, and all-cause mortality: observational and Mendelian randomisation analyses

Eleni Sofianopoulou et al.

Summary: The study found that observational analyses showed an inverse relationship between incident coronary heart disease, stroke, and all-cause mortality outcomes with 25(OH)D concentration at low levels. Genetic analyses indicated a negative association with all-cause mortality for participants with vitamin D deficiency, providing important implications for the design of vitamin D supplementation trials and disease prevention strategies.

The global prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis: a meta-analysis based on a systematic review

Khalid Almutairi et al.

Summary: The study aimed to determine the global population prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) from 1980 to 2019 and found a global RA prevalence estimate of 0.46%, with variations due to geographical location and study methodology. The highest RA prevalence (0.69%) was derived from studies involving linked data sources.
