Multiscale Reflection Component Based Weakly Illuminated Nighttime Image Enhancement

Summary: This work proposes a novel multiscale reflection component-based enhancement algorithm for nighttime input images. The algorithm not only recovers image contrast, but also highlights hidden details while preserving natural colors. It utilizes a multiscale Gaussian function to evaluate the illumination layer of the image, and introduces an image brightness improvement scheme based on Weber Fechner's law. The proposed algorithm also includes a PCA-based image fusion method and the use of the contrast-limited adaptive histogram equalization (CLAHE) technique to improve local contrast. Experimental results show the efficacy of the proposed algorithm compared to other methods.

Image Dehazing Based on Local and Non-Local Features

Summary: The study introduces a novel dehazing model using fractional derivative and data-driven regularization terms to enhance dehazing quality. The proposed model is solved using half-quadratic splitting and a dual-stream network based on CNN and Transformer is introduced for data-driven regularization.
