Corrosion inhibition of A36 mild steel in 0.5 M acid medium using waste citrus limonum peels

A. A. Ayoola et al.

Summary: This study investigated the corrosion inhibition of A36 mild steel in 0.5 M H2SO4 using waste citrus limonum peels as an inhibitor. The results showed that a concentration of 0.4 w/v% citrus limonum peels gave the highest inhibition efficiency of 94% and 92% at 28 degrees C and 45 degrees C, respectively. The adsorption behavior of the citrus limonum peels inhibitor on the mild steel surface could be described by both Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherms. Additionally, SEM/EDX analysis revealed that the inhibitor adsorption of citrus limonum peels was better at 28 degrees C compared to 45 degrees C, resulting in a more evenly distributed particles at a concentration of 0.4 w/v% inhibitor.

Electrochemical synthesis and corrosion behaviour of polyaniline on stainless steel in sodium hydroxide solutions

A. M. Abdel-Gaber et al.

Summary: The anticorrosion performance of polyaniline coatings electropolymerized on stainless steel in different acid solutions were investigated, with the best protection efficiency observed in acetic acid solution. The morphology of PAni coatings was found to be highly influenced by the nature of acid anion present.
