Psychological distress among health professional students during the COVID-19 outbreak

Summary: The study found that psychological distress and symptoms of acute stress reaction related to COVID-19 are common among health professional students. Internet addiction, childhood adversity, and stressful life events were associated with increased risks of distress and ASR, while good family functioning was associated with decreased risks. It is suggested that extended family and professional support should be provided to vulnerable individuals during these unprecedented times.

This study aimed to identify non-academic factors influencing empathy in undergraduate nursing students. Results revealed that teamwork abilities, loneliness, age, sex, subjective well-being, and nursing school all influence the development of empathy in patients' care, emphasizing the importance of individual and social factors in empathy development among nursing students.

Family functioning and mental health among secondary vocational students during the COVID-19 epidemic: A moderated mediation model

Summary: This study examined whether loneliness mediates the relation between family functioning and mental health, and found that family functioning had a significant and positive predictive effect on the mental health of students, partially mediated by loneliness.
