Nanodiamond enhanced mechanical and biological properties of extrudable gelatin hydrogel cross-linked with tannic acid and ferrous sulphate

Amitava Bhattacharyya et al.

Summary: Detonation nanodiamond (ND) has shown its potential to improve the mechanical and biological properties of gelatin-based hydrogels. In this study, natural cross-linker tannic acid (TA) and ferrous sulphate (FS) were used to optimize the swelling and disintegration of extrudable and 3D printable gelatin hydrogels. The improved dispersion of ND particles helped to improve the mechanical properties and stability of the hydrogels.
