Effects of sample-aperture cone distance on the environmental charge compensation in near-ambient pressure hard X-ray photoemission spectroscopy

Satoru Suzuki et al.

Summary: Charging effect of insulating samples is a major problem in photoemission spectroscopy. The charging of the samples can be compensated by introducing nitrogen gas under near-ambient pressure. The distance between the sample surface and the aperture cone of the electron energy analyzer strongly affects the pressure required for compensation.

A stable low-temperature H2-production catalyst by crowding Pt on α-MoC

Xiao Zhang et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that Pt1 and Ptn stabilized on α-MoC surface can catalyze the WGS reaction at low temperatures, preventing catalyst deactivation due to oxidation and showing high stability with a high metal-normalized turnover number.
