CoMn2O4 microflower and microsphere structures have been facilely and solvothermally realized by adjusting the urea concentration. The morphologies of as-prepared CoMn2O4 samples were investigated using field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM). The chemical compositional and crystalline structural changes of as-prepared samples were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The present work has demonstrated that the urea concentration has played an important role in formation of CoMn2O4 microflower and microsphere. The mechanism of the morphology-controlled synthesis of CoMn2O4 is also discussed. (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
