EUS-guided pelvic drainage: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Banreet Singh Dhindsa et al.

Summary: This study conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of EUS-guided pelvic abscess drainage (EUS-PAD) procedures. It found a technical success rate of 100%, a clinical success rate of 92%, and an adverse event rate of 9.4%, with stent migration being the most common complication. EUS-PAD was concluded to be a viable alternative for pelvic abscess drainage with long-term clinical success and acceptable complication rates.
