Value of Interprofessional Education: The VA Quality Scholars Program

Summary: The study examines the impact of integrating interprofessional healthcare learners into the VA Quality Scholars (VAQS) program and shows that this approach has a positive effect on improving healthcare quality and patient safety. Alumni generally identified IPC and teamwork as the most utilized skill in their careers, with post-IPE alumni highlighting IPC and teamwork as the area of greatest skill development.
