Comparative study of game-based learning on preschoolers' English vocabulary acquisition in Taiwan

Joni Tzuchen Tang

Summary: This comparative study examines the English vocabulary acquisition of preschoolers in Taiwan and investigates the effectiveness of game-based learning. The findings suggest that preschoolers can autonomously acquire English vocabulary through game-based learning, with a vocabulary size of 2 words per day being the most suitable for their memory. Games can stimulate autonomous learning and the number of vocabulary words can be considered for effective learning. This study has implications for language learning, game-based learning (GBL), and interactive learning.
