We present a case of a 48-year-old female patient who suffered from stress fractures, musculoskeletal pain, and tooth loss. The diagnosis of hypophosphatasia was made based on clinical and laboratory findings, as well as ALPL genetic testing. This case underscores the significance of early diagnosis and appropriate treatment of hypophosphatasia in adults to prevent further complications.
We report a 48-year-old female patient with various stress fractures of extremities, musculoskeletal pain, and tooth loss. Hypophosphatasia was diagnosed based on clinical and laboratory findings and ALPL genetic results. This case highlights the importance of early diagnosis of hypophosphatasia in adults and appropriate treatment to prevent further complications.
