Mahamoud Sabra

Summary: This article empirically examines the dynamic relationships between health expenditure, economic growth, fertility rate, life expectancy, and CO2 emissions in six Middle-East and North African countries. The results show a positive association between health expenditure and economic growth, while economic growth is negatively associated with fertility rate, life expectancy, and CO2 emissions. Additionally, a negative nexus between fertility rate and life expectancy is found. The study suggests increasing the share of health expenditure in public spending and implementing effective government health expenditure and pollution control measures.
