Online on-demand delivery services of food and alcohol: A scoping review of public health impacts

Cassian Duthie et al.

Summary: The increase in availability of online on-demand food and alcohol delivery services has raised concerns regarding the access to and impact of unhealthy commodities. A systematic scoping review was conducted to understand the public health and regulatory/policy outcomes of these services. The findings suggest that on-demand delivery services market unhealthy and discretionary foods, with disadvantaged communities having reduced access to healthy commodities. The review emphasizes the need for future research and policy adjustments to address this emerging issue in public health.
