Neither Resiliency-Trait nor Resilience-State: Transactional Resiliency/e

Seffetullah Kuldas et al.

Resilience and Intercultural Interactions of Italian Erasmus Students: The Relation with Cultural Intelligence

Valentina Dolce et al.

Summary: This study explores the relationship between resilience, length of study abroad experience, intercultural interactions of Italian Erasmus students, and cultural intelligence. The findings suggest a significant relationship between resilience and all dimensions of cultural intelligence. Forming friendships with international students is positively correlated with motivational and metacognitive cultural intelligence, while establishing relationships with locals is only weakly correlated with cognitive cultural intelligence.

Leaving on a jet plane? The effect of challenge-hindrance stressors, emotional resilience and cultural novelty on self-initiated expatriates' decision to exit China

Milad T. Jannesari et al.

Summary: The study found that hindrance stressors were negatively related to SIEs' intent to remain, while challenge stressors were not associated with intent to remain. Hindrance (challenge) stressors were negatively (positively) related to emotional resilience, and resilience played a mediating role between stressors and intent to remain. Cultural novelty did not moderate the relationship between emotional resilience and intent to remain but did moderate the mediated effects of hindrance stressors on intent to remain via emotional resilience, not in the hypothesized direction.
