Communication and the role of third-party endorsement in social crowdfunding

Veronica De Crescenzo et al.

Summary: While previous research has highlighted the importance of updates, pictures, videos, and narrative sections in reducing information asymmetry in crowdfunding projects, there is little mention of the role of external entities in partially co-financing projects. A study using fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) found that content communication and third-party endorsement are crucial factors in mitigating asymmetric information problems in social crowdfunding projects. The study also revealed the varying relevance of content communication depending on the presence of a third-party investor and emphasized the significance of a comprehensive content communication approach in fundraising within the social crowdfunding market.

Xuemei Xie et al.

Summary: Based on the organizational information processing theory, this study examines the positive influence of business networks on firms' organizational resilience capacity. The findings show that network breadth and depth are positively correlated with organizational resilience capacity, mediated by ambidextrous learning, and the positive effects are stronger for firms with higher digital technology levels. Moreover, non-state-owned enterprises benefit more from business networks in terms of organizational resilience capacity, and the moderating effect of digital technology is greater for non-state-owned enterprises.
