Biodiesel production from Argemone mexicana oil using chicken eggshell derived CaO catalyst br

Summary: The present study optimized the process of biodiesel production from Argemone mexicana oil using calcium oxide as a catalyst derived from chicken eggshells. The catalyst was characterized and the parameters were optimized through response surface methodology, resulting in a high yield of biodiesel. Non-statistical techniques were used to analyze the optimal values, and the obtained biodiesel was characterized using spectroscopic techniques.

Enhanced production of biodiesel using nanomaterials: A detailed review on the mechanism and influencing factors

Summary: The review focuses on the application and mechanism of potential nanoparticles in biodiesel production, summarizing the effect of various operating variables and highlighting the highest yields achieved using different nanocatalysts. The findings suggest that sodium hydroxide and strontium oxide catalysts have produced the highest yield of 99%, while calcium oxide nanocatalyst has achieved a biodiesel conversion of 98.2% under specific conditions. The maximum biodiesel conversion yield using KOH nanocatalyst was found to be 96.44% in a specific transesterification method. Future perspectives on nanocatalysis for biodiesel production are also discussed.

The possibility of LDH recycling for further use in eliminating pollutants from water is suggested.
