Real-time adaptive leg-stiffness for roll compensation via magnetorheological control in a legged robot

M. D. Christie et al.

Summary: This study proposes real-time adaptive stiffness robot legs controlled by fast-response magnetorheological fluid dampers. Experimental results demonstrate that the legs can improve performance and stability of bipedal robots during locomotion, suitable for various legged locomotion scenarios.
