Highly conductive graphene/carbon black screen printing inks for flexible electronics

Lixin Liu et al.

Summary: A novel graphene-based screen printing conductive ink was introduced with liquid-exfoliated graphene powders and carbon black as conductive fillers, exhibiting good printability, high electrical conductivity, and outstanding mechanical properties for flexible electronic devices. Special post-treatment process makes the conductive ink formulation compatible with a wide range of substrates, suitable for Roll-to-Roll applications, providing a new solution to high-efficiency, low-cost, large-scale production of printed flexible electronics.

Center and multi-points current collecting for improving capacitances of rectangular polypyrrole/knitted cotton fabric-based supercapacitor

Bo Wang et al.

Summary: Polyprrole (PPy) electrodes with favorable pseudocapacitance have been rapidly developed for supercapacitors. However, longer PPy electrodes are often underutilized, affecting their capacitances. A study investigated the effects of electrode length on capacitances and proposed methods to improve capacitance for longer electrodes, such as center current collecting and multi-points current collecting. The research demonstrated significant improvement in capacitances for longer PKCF electrodes through these methods, providing insights for practical applications of longer electrodes and devices.

Thermal Deformations of Thermoplast during 3D Printing: Warping in the Case of ABS

Jakub Ramian et al.

Summary: This research focused on the thermal deformations of thermoplast during 3D printing using ABS filament. Twenty-seven cuboids with different attributes were printed on a 3D printer, captured by a thermal camera, and measured with a 3D scanner to analyze the warping process. The study formulated general conclusions on the impact of selected parameters on warping and proposed guidelines on reducing warping.

Textile Composite Electrodes for Flexible Batteries and Supercapacitors: Opportunities and Challenges

Yuan Gao et al.

Summary: The increasing demand for portable and wearable electronics has led to a growing interest in flexible lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors. Textile composite electrodes have shown great promise for flexible, high-capacity, and long-cycle-life textile-based electrochemical energy storage devices, compared to traditional metal-foil-supported electrodes. Challenges associated with textile composite electrodes and textile-based electrochemical energy storage devices are discussed, along with potential solutions.

A High-Performance, Tailorable, Wearable, and Foldable Solid-State Supercapacitor Enabled by Arranging Pseudocapacitive Groups and MXene Flakes on Textile Electrode Surface

Yuanming Wang et al.

Summary: A high-performance, tailorable and foldable solid-state asymmetric supercapacitor was developed through regulating oxidization time and MXene loading, fundamentally avoiding the risk of active materials detaching during mechanical deformation. This device achieved extended voltage window, high energy density, and capacitance retention after cycles, showing potential practical application.
