Summary: This review summarizes and discusses the formation of nanofiber-like assemblies, touching upon the fundamental driving forces and molecular interactions involved. Two spatiotemporal levels of fiber-like assemblies are addressed. Additionally, a general guidance for the rational design of block copolymers (BCPs) is proposed based on the unique traits of fiber-like micelles.

Personal Perspective on Understanding Low Molecular Weight Gels

Dave J. Adams

Summary: Low molecular weight gels are formed by the self-assembly of small molecules into anisotropic structures that can immobilize solvents. Despite their common occurrence and wide range of applications, there are significant gaps and challenges in our understanding of these systems.

Light-activated photodeformable supramolecular dissipative self-assemblies

Xu-Man Chen et al.

Summary: In this study, a light-activated photodeformable dissipative self-assembly system was reported. This system can change its morphology and fluorescence color based on the duration of light irradiation, and it can also disappear after a certain period of time.
