Edge-Enriched Mo2TiC2Tx/MoS2 Heterostructure with Coupling Interface for Selectively NO2 Monitoring

Summary: This study proposes a highly active double transition metal titanium molybdenum carbide (Mo2TiC2Tx) with strong surface adsorption for NO2 gas sensing and further couples it with molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) to construct an edge-enriched heterostructure. The Mo2TiC2Tx/MoS2 gas sensor exhibits outstanding response and selectivity towards NO2 due to its strong adsorption, rich adsorption sites, and coupling interface. It also demonstrates sensitivity, detection limit, and reversibility at room temperature, making it suitable for gas leakage detection and dangerous warning.

Highly sensitive detection of H2S gas at low temperature based on ZnCo2O4 microtube sensors

Summary: In this study, ZnCo2O4 microtubes were prepared by using absorbent cotton as a template and combining immersion method with calcination treatment. The influence of calcination temperature on particle size and sensing property was investigated, and the feasible sensing mechanism of ZnCo2O4 microtubes to H2S was explored based on XPS analysis. The results showed that ZnCo2O4 microtubes exhibited excellent detection performance for H2S at low temperature.

This improved performance is attributed to the increased active sites and specific surface area, as well as the formation of n-n heterojunctions at the interface between alpha-Fe2O3 hollow nanospheres and MoSe2 nanoflowers.
